backtrack; Metropolis (1927)

Futuristic vision with touches of naive saga. Some annoying holes in the story but the sheer visual power is overwhelming. A masterpiece.

On virtually every best-of list in the world, including mine.

The annoying holes in the story have been filled in, as of the release of the restored, complete version of this *massive* masterpiece earlier this year. See it again. And again. And then again. All the best,Bellis

I definitely would want to see the restored version, even if I am not a big fan of long movies.
