backtrack; The wolf man (1941)

My all-time favorite monster feels clumsy, laughable and lame in this, the weakest of the classic Universal horror movies. Some poetry and sexual tension, but not nearly enough.

Sadly, Lon Chaney Jr does not stay in my book. I even rank the earlier, more primitive »Werewolf of London« higher.
