The asphalt jungle (1950)

It’s all in the details here. Facial expression, character behaviour, story turns. Little things seemingly beside the point take on the most profound significance in the mixed-up lives of these unhappy and worn-out individuals, all depicted with unusually tender care.

A great movie experience. In my book.
