Prima della rivoluzione (1964)

Playful and weird incomprehensibilities abound – this is precocious, highbrow European arthouse par excellence! A strange, intense, obscure start leads to a leftist, incestuous, intellectual, talkative, and slightly deranged experiment – detached despite the overflow of emotions.

Groundbreaking in its suggestive use of cropping, focus, angles etc – creating unexplained instability and tension. Maybe in my book.
