Seven brides for seven brothers (1954)

Well, bless my beautiful hide! Mindblowing choreography with derangedly acrobatic musical numbers that – unusually and thankfully – almost doesn't muddle the narration at all, sometimes even enhancing it. Almost enough to make you accept the incredibly sick and corny story, and the outlandishly synthetic Cinemascope looks.

Only almost, though. Maybe in my book.
