π (1998)

Aronofsky’s low-budget debut is a rough little mindbender of mathematics, mystery, madness – and the search for deeper meaning. Mixing business and religion with technology and a little sexuality in a rather unpleasant way, this evolves into a warped view of a tormented explorer and the threatening universe around him.

Perception or reality? In my book of obsession.
