Cave of forgotten dreams (2010)

What’s interesting here is not the movie-making – mostly calm and straight-forward though pioneering in its use of 3D – but the mindboggling, eon-spanning subject matter itself. The co-existence of present and past is accompanied by lots of scientific speculation. Quite natural, considering how little we can grasp of palaeolithic life.

So, 90 minutes of cave walls with animal paintings? Well, it is too long but still stays in my book of art and history!
