backtrack; Les quatre cent coups (1959)

Truffaut’s debut is an early, seminal new wave, crashing onto the shores of european moviemaking and changing them forever. Irritating and strong on themes such as freedom and purpose. Seemingly simple, but with enough ambiguity.

Intellectual and emotional. In my book of yearning, rebellious youth.
