Irréversible (2002)

»Time destroys everything«

A continuously swirling, confusing, searching camera follows destiny’s whims in this suggestive, twisted, and harsh love poem of misguided masculinity.

Several scenes are unnecessarily long, dialogue is sometimes stilted, character behaviour often implausible. Still in my book of urgency, energy, violence, and danger.

»The future is already written«
