backtrack; L’uccello dalle piume di cristallo (1970)

Dario Argento’s first directorial feature is also one of his very best, a stylish and intense murder mystery that turns out to be surprisingly un-gory considering his reputation as edgy master of the macabre.

Still quite viewable despite several implausibilities and a slight smell of dated celluloid. In my book of damsels, both deadly and in distress.
