Over and over we’ve seen the Vietnam war used as a cinematic projection of American fears and phobias. But never this way, as an almost mythological allegory of corrupting power.

A dark, hypnotic, flawed, staggering monster of a movie. In my book of frightening egomania and inhumanity.
