Central do Brasil (1998)

A hard society breeds hard people in this emotional and revealing roadmovie where an unfulfilled, cynical old woman is accidentally paired up with an orphaned boy. The journey goes from superficial lies to fledgling faith in a reasonably decent humanity.

Hard-earned trust, failed fathers, personal and moral growth, the power of communication. In my book of important letters.
