backtrack; The evil dead (1982)

evildead

1982 was an abundant year for legendary science fiction and/or horror releases. The book lists E.T., The Thing, Poltergeist, Blade runner – plus this, Sam Raimi’s messy little debut. Farcical and crude, it brought an updated approach to genre conventions.

Healthily tasteless and disrespectful. In my book of juvenile low-budget gore.
