Αναπαράσταση [Reconstruction] (1970)

»Don’t you see that here our hearts are black?«

An immigrant returns to his family in a remote, depopulated village. The convoluted story that follows is elusive, closed, sparse, bleak, and listless.

A very different murder mystery, gathering its strength from silence, pauses, and matters inbetween. Ultimately too tacit – not in my cruel book of rural greek poverty.
