backtrack; Pulp fiction (1994)

The title is an almost over-obvious clue; trashy sensationalist fantasies reproduced on cheapest possible material. Shamelessly unpretentious, populistic, and entertaining – though often with lots more beneath the surface. Maybe even more than intended.

This modern classic made Tarantino the internationally hyped moviemaking superstar he still is. In my book of everything imaginable – script, soundtrack, editing, acting, style, nostalgia, attitude, you name it.
