What I watched during my weekend at the Gothenburg International Film Festival:
Skörheten: Short, strong, uplifting documentary on anxiety.
Alaska: Rambling, impulsive, exhilarating european drama.
Hevn: Stunning and ambiguous revenge yarn.
Avril et le monde truqué: Innovative, entertaining animated adventure.
Microbe et Gasoil: Heartwarming, funny, and deft coming of age journey.
Det moderna projektet: Ingenious and engaging contemporary analysis.
Une histoire d’âme: Intellectual, visual, minimal – a Bergmanesque reverie.
Petting zoo: Straightforwardly harsh and reassuring on teenage pregnancy.
Chronic: Muted and surprising on how we take care of each other.
My guess is that none of these will end up in the book, but they were all very worthwhile nevertheless.
