Boyhood (2014)

The most talked about aspect of this movie is the unique »12 years in the making« concept. It is a circumstance that rather quickly becomes strangely and largely irrelevant – even gimmicky – upon watching. The loose, partly improvised »story« is drawn-out, undramatic and insufficient – like the real life it tries a little too hard to mimic, I suppose.

Time passes, life goes on – for individuals, families, and society. Probably in my book of over-intellectualizing.
