La guerre du feu (1981)
It’s rather remarkable that a feature film without actual dialogue could be a success – critically and with audiences – as late as the eighties. Unfortunately (though maybe inevitably considering the lack of language), the prehistoric storyline is a bit shallow and at times silly. The foremost example being the »evolution« of sexual intercourse from doggy-styled rape to tender missionary position!
The pre-CGI sabre-tooths still look reasonably convincing, the mammoths less so. Not in my paleolithic book.
