backtrack; Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)

drac

Strange, suffocating, sexually charged. This bloated kitschfest has grown steadily on me over the years. Wasn’t at all convinced on first viewing, but now I like it quite a lot. Still not too enthusiastic about the count’s initial appearance and hairstyle, though. In fact, he strikes me as a grotesque Glenn Close in heavy make-up!

Weird and wondrous. In my book of bloodlust.
