Ευδοκία [Evdokia] (1971)

A naive, almost hysterically happy-go-lucky young prostitute doesn’t heed the aging and alcoholic fortune-teller but instead gets involved with a stately soldier, much to the chagrin of many – especially her pimp. The new relation is violently intense, deeply troubled, and impossibly destructive from charged beginning to bleak end.

Destitute surroundings, painterly colours. Maybe in my book of military drill and village mentality.
