Abel (1986)

–Why isn’t life normal?

Oh, the strange and complicated games we humans play! Absurdly dysfunctional family – stuffy father, distraught mother, highly disappointing son – acts out a ritualistic, stylized, theatrical tale of love, lust, and insecurities.

Weird relational comedy degenerating into entangled farce with a lot of misunderstandings and running around. Maybe in my bizarre male gaze book of fly-cutting and obscure biblical connotations.
