Καρκαλού [Karkalou] (1984)
– Do it.
Elusive, convoluted, and indecipherable on time, memory, relations, society – and politics? Mysteriously threatening, but mostly conveys a melancholy sense of loss, grief, maybe even betrayal.
Lots of potentially significant details but no discernable story, theme, or main conflict. A very personal statement of quiet desperation that unfortunately doesn’t resound with this ignorant spectator. Not in my book of struggle.
